English, in particular, holds global significance, being widely spoken and utilized for communication worldwide. In India, English plays a pivotal role in education, from preschool to advanced academic levels, and serves as a gateway to studying abroad. Mastery of English grammar and writing skills is crucial for academic success, as most textbooks are written in English. Thus, emphasizing proficiency in English is essential for students aiming to excel in their studies and broaden their opportunities globally.

ABOUT G SUN ENGLISH OLYMPIAD

G Sun English Olympiad is beyond the classroom program focused on to build the vocabulary and English language usage of the child.

The children are tested through various different rounds, which are unique and would definitely improve their English language proficiency.

The Olympiad is conducted internationally for the students from Class-I to Class-VIII. It is based on the syllabus prescribed by the CBSE/ICSE and other State Boards.

This Olympiad would bring out positive change and tremendous improvement in vocabulary and English language usage in the child.

Syllabus

The syllabus include various rounds viz.
Identify correct spelling, Jumbled letters, word application,
correct the word, synonyms and antonyms, crosswords etc.

Pattern

The Olympiads is conducted on 2 different dates.
Schools can choose the appropriate date whichever is suitable to him/her.
Olympiads to be conducted in school premises on the selected date.
The question papers would be made available one week before the scheduled date.
The last date of Registration would be specified in advance.
The written examination would happen at School and National Olympiad.
The Level-1 result would be declared in a month time post exams are conducted.
The result of Level 2 & Level 3 would be available on our website.
The awards, prizes, certificates will be sent to the school within 3 to 4weeks after the declaration of final result.

Assessment Process

The assessment of the Olympiad will be at three levels.

Level-1: This level assessment would be among the students of each school and each class.
Level-2: The first three rank holders of each school and from each class at first level of Olympiads will be eligible for the assessment at level 2 i.e. State Toppers, provided they secure minimum 60% marks.
Level-3: The state rank holders would be eligible for the written examination at National Olympiad.

Study Material

Graded preparatory books as per class and age are provided to students for preparation.

Awards

Awards are given in every level as per below criteria

Level-1: Class topper I, II and III rank holders of every class of each school will be awarded GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE medals respectively and rank certificates, provided the topper obtains at least 50% marks. 4th to 10th rank holders of each school would be awarded with topper achievement certificates. All participants would be awarded with graded certificates.
Level-2: All the state I, II and III rank holders of all classes would be awarded with wrist watches, trophy’s and winner certificates. 4th to 100th state rank holder would be awarded with budding star certificates.
Level-3: First three Olympiad rank holders would be awarded with attractive gift hampers, national Olympiad winner trophy and certificates. 4th to 10th Olympiad rank holders would be awarded exciting prizes with winner’s trophy and certificates. 11th to 50th Olympiad rank holders would be awarded consolation prize, medals and national budding star certificates.
